🚗 Vehicle-Specific Notes
BMW
Set screw holds rotor to hub (T40/T45 Torx). Often seized — use impact driver.
Extra tools: T40 Torx, impact driver
Honda
Slide off after caliper bracket removal. 17mm bracket bolts. No set screw.
Toyota
Slide-off design. May be stuck from corrosion — hit with rubber mallet.
Ford F-150
Large rotors. 21mm bracket bolts. Very heavy — support when removing.
Subaru
Slide-off. Front rotors are directional on WRX/STI — check left vs right.
Volkswagen
T45 Torx set screw on rotor. Often seized. Coat new rotor with brake cleaner.
