BMW
N52/N55: plastic cover, special expanding bolts that are single-use. Buy new bolts.
Extra tools: New valve cover bolts (single-use)
Subaru
Boxer engine: both sides accessible from top. Easy. Replace tube seals and spark plug well seals.
Toyota
V6: rear bank tight against firewall. Do front first for practice.
Honda
VTEC models: inspect VTEC solenoid gasket while cover is off. 10mm bolts.
Nissan
VQ V6: rear valve cover requires intake plenum removal. Plan 3+ hours.
Ford
Ecoboost: tight space. Replace PCV valve integrated into cover on some models.
